Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American performer and actress, is quite well-known. Her mom raised her in the USA and she was subject to numerous racial slurs that made her feel like someone who was not wanted. In the ninth grade, after a school audition, where she received high praise for her singing as she built confidence. It not only boosted her confidence, but it altered the direction in which she went on to pursue her professional career. She attended the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. She started her professional journey at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. Her most memorable break came from her role as The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the first Broadway version of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great praise for the performance. Her fame grew when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. The actress is also a renowned artist and produced an extended show. Also, she is a campaigner and has been active in the field of LGBT rights.
