Zoe-perry
Perry was born July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played her role. She did not explore acting as a profession after reaching adulthood, as her parents were afraid of the negative impact stress might be a cause of. Perry was shy during high school and did not act. The actress began her acting career at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was moved to the university from Boston University. When she graduated, Perry went in New York to search for television work landing small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led the actress back to California and she was able to find theatre work. Perry was a part of the cast with her mother on stage in The Other Place at Broadway the previous year. She appeared in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was staged at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's crime thriller The Family. In 2017, Perry had an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal alongside her father. Also, she was cast on her role on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. She was cast in the role despite her close family connection to the character.
