Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is a American R&B/Soul singer-songwriter. Apart from an award like a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she has also been nominated as the winner of an Academy Award. Andra Days is a ferocious singer who can also write well. She is not only a specialist in the throwback genre of R&B but her origins are in blues and gospel jazz. Her debut album, Cheers to the Fall (2015) she made it into the Top Ten R&B/hip hop charts and earned a few Grammy acknowledgements. In 2017 her performance on Marshall's music was recognized by the Academy Award.
